Viltrox Launches Four Lightweight Air Primes for L-Mount

Chinese lens maker Viltrox has officially announced four new autofocus prime lenses in its Air series for L-Mount, after first showing them at IBC in Amsterdam earlier this month: the AF 14mm F4, AF 20mm F2.8, AF 40mm F2.5, and AF 50mm F2. The mount is shared by Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma under the L-Mount Alliance; Viltrox joined the alliance in 2025 but had released only two autofocus lenses for it until now.

Announced pricing is $199 for the 14mm, $168 for the 20mm, $176 for the 40mm, and $199 for the 50mm — all now available to order. Viltrox is marketing the series under the tagline "Carry Less, Capture More," emphasizing light weight and compact size compared with the native manufacturers' lenses on the same mount.

The launch fills a gap that had been evident in the affordable, lightweight lens market for L-Mount, which until now relied mainly on higher-priced lenses from Leica, Panasonic, and Sigma, or a limited number of third-party options.
